This role offers the chance to contribute to an exciting educational journey, delivering impactful Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, and potentially at Key Stage 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to deliver specialist teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire students, using evidence-informed pedagogical practices.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum, including the new AAQ in Medical Science.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results and pursuing science-related careers at university and beyond.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in line with the school’s policies.
  • Engage students through exceptional extra-curricular opportunities in Science and beyond.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to further improve outcomes in Science and support the school’s vision for education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to promoting student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 5.
  • Commitment to extra-curricular engagement and student enrichment.
  • Experience with the Bournemouth Bay Teacher Training Partnership.
  • Familiarity with the Twynham Learning Science curriculum.
