Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Art and Photography lessons aligned with the school’s values.
  • Plan and assess lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, monitoring attendance, behaviour, and academic progress.
  • Support students’ personal, social, and cultural development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and events.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes and professional development opportunities.
  • Uphold the school’s ethos and professional standards.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Art and Photography.
  • Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise.
  • Effective behaviour-management strategies.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience with KS3 and KS4 teaching.
  • Familiarity with SEND and EAL support strategies.
  • Experience in pastoral care or Form Tutoring.
  • Passion for creative subjects and student engagement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
