Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality GCSE Photography and Art lessons at KS3 and KS4
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Creatives to maintain and enhance departmental standards
- Develop innovative and engaging learning opportunities beyond the classroom
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Art and Photography curriculum
- Support student attainment through effective teaching and learning strategies
- Participate in staff development and wider school initiatives
- Maintain strong and positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Promote a culture of inclusion and high achievement across the school
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching GCSE Photography and Art
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Art and Photography
- Commitment to raising student attainment and fostering a love of the subject
- Ability to contribute to the development of the curriculum and departmental strategy
- Experience working in a school environment with a focus on inclusion and student support
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
- Background in using cutting-edge technology in teaching and learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ECTs will be considered
