The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive team. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students achieve excellent outcomes in Geography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons at KS3 and KS4, ensuring engaging and challenging learning experiences.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure all learners reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with the Geography department to enhance the curriculum and teaching practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of Geography through real-world applications and fieldwork.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Geography at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge of Geography.
- Demonstrable ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering active and interactive lessons.
- Background in working within a successful and supportive school environment.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with fieldwork and practical Geography teaching methods.
