The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Art and Textiles Teacher to join a supportive team and deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Textiles lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver a broad and engaging curriculum that includes painting, drawing, textiles, clay, and photography.
  • Work collaboratively with the Art team to ensure a consistent and effective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Support students in achieving strong GCSE results in Art and Design subjects.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities that enhance student engagement and school community.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and ensure it meets the needs of all learners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and Textiles.
  • Experience teaching Art and Textiles at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Excellent classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team planning.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Photography to GCSE level.
  • Experience with curriculum development and collaborative planning.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or community engagement.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
