The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Class Teacher to join our supportive and dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through tailored teaching and a focus on individual growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student progress and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to inform teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with specialist staff to implement therapeutic and life skills programs.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations within the school community.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Support students in developing independent living skills through life skills courses.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in special education.
- Experience working with students with severe learning difficulties and autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in primary and/or secondary teaching.
- Background in MLD, SLD, or SEMH support.
- Knowledge of ASD, PALS, OT, and SaLT practices.
- Experience in delivering life skills programs.
