The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Class Teacher to join our supportive and dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through tailored teaching and a focus on individual growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support student progress and well-being.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to inform teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with specialist staff to implement therapeutic and life skills programs.
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and high expectations within the school community.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Support students in developing independent living skills through life skills courses.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in special education.
  • Experience working with students with severe learning difficulties and autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student-centered learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in primary and/or secondary teaching.
  • Background in MLD, SLD, or SEMH support.
  • Knowledge of ASD, PALS, OT, and SaLT practices.
  • Experience in delivering life skills programs.
