The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Art and Textiles Teacher to join a dynamic and creative faculty. This role offers the chance to teach across KS3 to A Level and to help students develop their artistic talents in a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art and Textiles to students from KS3 through to A Level.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
  • Nurture students' artistic ambition and support their personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty to enhance the creative learning experience.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Art or Textiles.
  • Experience teaching Art and Textiles at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of Art and Textiles curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular art programs.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in Art and Textiles education.
  • Experience in a school with a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity.
