The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring Art and Textiles Teacher to join a dynamic and creative faculty. This role offers the chance to teach across KS3 to A Level and to help students develop their artistic talents in a supportive and innovative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Art and Textiles to students from KS3 through to A Level.
- Develop and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
- Nurture students' artistic ambition and support their personal and academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty to enhance the creative learning experience.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Art or Textiles.
- Experience teaching Art and Textiles at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of Art and Textiles curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular art programs.
- Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in Art and Textiles education.
- Experience in a school with a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity.
