Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies that incorporate technology and modern pedagogical approaches.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and formative assessment.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities that promote a love of Geography.
- Work collaboratively with the Subject Leader Geography and other staff to maintain high academic standards.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of ICT in the classroom and across the school.
- Uphold the school’s values and ethos, including a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A good honours degree in Geography or a related subject
- Experience in teaching Geography at the relevant level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience in delivering extra-curricular Geography activities
- Demonstrable experience with the use of ICT in teaching
- Experience in a faith-based educational setting
- Experience in working with diverse student groups
