Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
  • Develop innovative and inclusive teaching strategies that incorporate technology and modern pedagogical approaches.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and formative assessment.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities that promote a love of Geography.
  • Work collaboratively with the Subject Leader Geography and other staff to maintain high academic standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of ICT in the classroom and across the school.
  • Uphold the school’s values and ethos, including a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A good honours degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Experience in teaching Geography at the relevant level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering extra-curricular Geography activities
  • Demonstrable experience with the use of ICT in teaching
  • Experience in a faith-based educational setting
  • Experience in working with diverse student groups
