The Opportunity:

As a Politics Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students across key stages 3 to 5. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Politics lessons that challenge students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Politics lessons to students across key stages 3 to 5, with a focus on KS5.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring that all schemes of work are up to date and effective.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Stay informed on developments in Politics and education to ensure best practice is adopted in teaching.
  • Promote Politics within the school, encouraging student interest and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Politics department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Uphold professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, and conduct.
  • Undertake any additional duties as required by the Head of Department or Headteacher.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Politics at key stages 3 to 5.
  • Proven ability to teach and inspire students at KS5 level.
  • Strong understanding of Politics and its role in education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with extra-curricular and enrichment activities in Politics.
  • Experience working in a diverse and inclusive educational setting.
