Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and deliver high-quality KS3 and KS4 Art programmes
  • Lead and develop the teaching practice of colleagues
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Provide extra-curricular opportunities in art and related areas
  • Deliver pastoral care as a form tutor
  • Model and promote the school's core values of Kindness, Integrity, and Tenacity
  • Engage with parents and external agencies where necessary
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualifications in Art
  • Experience in leading and developing a subject team
  • Experience in curriculum planning
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with staff and stakeholders
  • Commitment to student academic and personal development
  • Professionalism and high expectations in all areas of work

Preferred

  • Experience in leading professional development for teachers
