Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality A-Level Criminology lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
- Support student achievement and ensure a positive learning experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of Criminology and incorporate them into teaching.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Criminology or a related subject.
- Strong knowledge of A-Level Criminology curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a further education or sixth form setting.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading Criminology courses.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Strong record of student achievement and progression.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
