Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons that promote student progress and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school’s commitment to high-quality learning.
- Collaborate with the Science faculty and contribute to curriculum development and cross-subject initiatives.
- Support student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing targeted feedback and intervention where needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s commitment to staff growth and wellbeing.
- Engage with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a positive learning environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance student experience and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and Trust requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Science education.
- Commitment to student progress and high-quality teaching and learning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities where appropriate.
- Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching across multiple science subjects or in cross-curricular areas.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in the classroom.
- Experience with professional development and mentoring of early career teachers.
- Background in school leadership or curriculum development.
