Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons that promote student progress and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the school’s commitment to high-quality learning.
  • Collaborate with the Science faculty and contribute to curriculum development and cross-subject initiatives.
  • Support student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing targeted feedback and intervention where needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s commitment to staff growth and wellbeing.
  • Engage with students, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events that enhance student experience and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and Trust requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Science education.
  • Commitment to student progress and high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities where appropriate.
  • Experience in working with students of all abilities and backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across multiple science subjects or in cross-curricular areas.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with professional development and mentoring of early career teachers.
  • Background in school leadership or curriculum development.
