Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative art lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
• Develop and maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
• Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and events.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
• Stay up to date with developments in art education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in art education.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• Commitment to the school’s values, including safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when required.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching a range of art techniques and media.
• Experience with pastoral care and student support.
• Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular art activities.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
