The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative art lessons that inspire creativity and critical thinking.
- Develop and maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and professional development.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
- Stay up to date with developments in art education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in art education.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
- Commitment to the school’s values, including safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when required.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching a range of art techniques and media.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Experience in leading or contributing to extracurricular art activities.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
