The Opportunity:

We are seeking two dedicated Cleaners to join our team and help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, sweep, scrub, and sanitise designated areas to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
• Polish, vacuum, and dust all allocated spaces as required.
• Wash and shampoo floors, and clean surfaces in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly environment in all areas of the school.
• Work collaboratively with the Premises Manager and other staff to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
• Uphold the school’s values of care, guidance, and support in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Previous experience in cleaning or related roles.
• Good attention to detail and a conscientious attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work across different areas of the school as needed.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary based on NJC Grade 1 point 3.
• Part-time permanent contract with 10 hours per week over 39 working weeks.
