The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated History Teacher to join our team on a one-year contract. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student learning and contribute to a school consistently achieving outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student achievement and progression in History.
- Support the continued success of the department by contributing to the development of teaching and learning strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and follow school policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.
- Commitment to student achievement and progression.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong academic record.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- A track record of contributing to departmental success and collaboration.
