The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Art Teacher to join a well-resourced department that achieves excellent results. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Art and committed to inspiring students across all key stages, including A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art across the full age and ability range up to and including A Level.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire students and foster creativity.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the academy through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Support the continued success of the department by maintaining and improving academic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Provide pastoral support to students and maintain effective communication with parents and carers.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art education.
  • Experience teaching across key stages, including A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and Design.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-cultural, inclusive school environment.
  • Demonstrable success in improving student achievement and engagement.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on leadership roles within the department.
