Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes real-world experiences and practical learning.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance subject-specific pedagogy and share best practice.
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of cross-curricular projects.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and high aspirations within the classroom.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in line with safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching A-Level Geography.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance Geography learning.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with fieldwork and real-world Geography projects.
