Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes real-world experiences and practical learning.
- Support students in achieving excellent results at GCSE and A-Level.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance subject-specific pedagogy and share best practice.
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of cross-curricular projects.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and high aspirations within the classroom.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in line with safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching A-Level Geography.
- Familiarity with using technology to enhance Geography learning.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with fieldwork and real-world Geography projects.
