Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative Art lessons tailored to the needs of all students.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they can thrive and achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans where necessary.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Art or a related subject.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons.
  • Commitment to student well-being and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in alternative provision or pupil referral settings.
  • Familiarity with SEND support strategies and interventions.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and supportive environment.
