The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Media Studies Teacher to join a dynamic department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Media Studies education at both GCSE and A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that challenge and inspire students.
• Prepare and assess coursework and examinations in line with curriculum requirements.
• Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and a lifelong appreciation of media.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
• Contribute to the development and review of departmental schemes of work and resources.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and events related to Media Studies.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and tolerance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
• Proven experience teaching Media Studies at GCSE and A Level.
• Strong subject knowledge in Media Studies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and take on a collaborative role within a small department.

Preferred

• Experience with developing and delivering cross-curricular projects.
• Experience with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
• Experience with supporting students in their personal and academic development.
• Experience with extracurricular or enrichment activities in Media Studies.
