The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher to join our highly successful Art and Photography Department. This is a flexible role that can be tailored to the experience and interests of the successful candidate. The position offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities and make a meaningful impact on student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art and Photography across key stages, with the option to teach PSHEE.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire creativity and encourage student engagement.
  • Support the development of students’ artistic skills and appreciation of the visual arts.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to academic excellence and pastoral care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and learning experience.
  • Manage and maintain art resources and equipment.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular art activities.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities, including Head of Year roles, if applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Photography education.
  • Strong portfolio of personal artistic work.
  • Commitment to raising standards in student learning and achievement.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Photography.
  • Experience in PSHEE teaching.
  • Leadership experience, such as Head of Year responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with independent school environments.
