The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Business and Economics Teacher to join a thriving department for one term, starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and to contribute to a vibrant academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business and Economics at both A Level and GCSE.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s academic standards and innovative curriculum.
  • Support students through individualised pastoral care and academic guidance.
  • Contribute actively to the department and the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate new teaching methodologies.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Business and Economics.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate students at all levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Experience in a school setting, preferably in a co-educational environment.
  • Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Business and Economics.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching techniques and digital learning tools.
  • Experience working in a boarding school environment.
  • Leadership experience or a track record of mentoring students.
