The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Business and Economics Teacher to join a thriving department for one term, starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and to contribute to a vibrant academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business and Economics at both A Level and GCSE.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s academic standards and innovative curriculum.
- Support students through individualised pastoral care and academic guidance.
- Contribute actively to the department and the wider school community through extra-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate new teaching methodologies.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Business and Economics.
- Proven ability to inspire and motivate students at all levels.
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence.
- Experience in a school setting, preferably in a co-educational environment.
- Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level Business and Economics.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching techniques and digital learning tools.
- Experience working in a boarding school environment.
- Leadership experience or a track record of mentoring students.
