The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant 1:1, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential in all areas of learning. This is a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children while working within a caring and professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with additional needs as directed by the Inclusion Lead and Class Teachers
- Implement specific needs outlined in EHCP/Support Plans
- Assist pupils in learning as effectively as possible
- Carry out duties as directed by the SENCo, Inclusion Lead, and Class Teacher
- Promote good behaviour in line with school policy
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and pupils
- Deliver pre-planned programmes of work tailored to individual needs
- Work collaboratively with the school team to improve academic outcomes and personal development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience of working in an educational environment
- Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
- Ability to communicate with young children
- Ability to communicate effectively with teachers and parents
- Ability to deal sensitively with people and resolve conflicts
- Ability to communicate effectively in a verbal and written form
Preferred
- Apprenticeship experience or willingness to pursue further education
- Experience in delivering structured learning activities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £22,170 per annum
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Travel allowance of £1,000 per annum after probation
