Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe and timely transportation of students and staff according to assigned rotas.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies while on duty.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bus interior for passengers.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and students to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of students and staff as required.
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and any incidents during transport.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Valid driver’s license and appropriate transport qualifications.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DBS check.
• Experience in driving school or public transport vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adhere to a varied rota.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with child passenger safety regulations.
