The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3-KS4, with the potential to teach KS5
- Support the school’s commitment to high expectations and student progress through creative and effective teaching
- Collaborate with the Creative Arts Faculty on curriculum development and lesson planning
- Participate in staff development opportunities, including CPD and leadership training
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
- Work with other teachers to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes
- Utilize modern facilities and resources to enhance the learning experience
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will obtain it by September 2026
- Experience teaching Art at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Ability to teach KS5 Art or potential to develop this capability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student progress and high expectations
Preferred
- Experience in leadership or mentoring roles
- Experience with evidence-based CPD and teaching strategies
- Familiarity with innovative Art teaching methods and technologies
- Experience working in a school with a strong focus on staff development and well-being
