Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters critical thinking, geographical understanding, and real-world application.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovate in teaching methods.
- Participate in the school’s leadership programme, contributing to the development of students’ character and social responsibility.
- Support extracurricular activities and school events that promote community engagement and leadership.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of delivering Geography to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to achieve positive student outcomes and raise attainment.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum innovation and creative teaching methods.
- Experience with leadership development or extracurricular programme delivery.
