Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters critical thinking, geographical understanding, and real-world application.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and innovate in teaching methods.
  • Participate in the school’s leadership programme, contributing to the development of students’ character and social responsibility.
  • Support extracurricular activities and school events that promote community engagement and leadership.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of delivering Geography to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to achieve positive student outcomes and raise attainment.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum innovation and creative teaching methods.
  • Experience with leadership development or extracurricular programme delivery.
