Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business and Economics lessons to students at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals and preparing for examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new technologies into teaching.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the curriculum.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in extra-curricular activities related to Business and Economics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business and Economics.
  • Experience teaching Business and Economics at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with BTEC Business qualifications.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Experience in a school that provides support to other schools.
  • Previous experience in a National Support School or similar setting.
