Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an engaging and innovative art curriculum that meets GCSE standards.
  • Lead and support a team of art teachers to improve standards and raise pupil outcomes.
  • Coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Implement strategies that foster creativity, engagement, and progression in learners.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Contribute to the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in art education and integrate new ideas into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Proven experience in leading a faculty and improving student outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues.
  • A track record of innovation and creativity in teaching.
  • Experience in a faith-based or multi-faith educational setting.
  • Familiarity with leadership programmes and character development initiatives.
