Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an engaging and innovative art curriculum that meets GCSE standards.
- Lead and support a team of art teachers to improve standards and raise pupil outcomes.
- Coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Implement strategies that foster creativity, engagement, and progression in learners.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
- Stay up to date with best practices in art education and integrate new ideas into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Proven experience in leading a faculty and improving student outcomes.
- Strong organisational and motivational skills.
- Experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues.
- A track record of innovation and creativity in teaching.
- Experience in a faith-based or multi-faith educational setting.
- Familiarity with leadership programmes and character development initiatives.
