Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs.
  • Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead training and development sessions for staff on inclusive teaching practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and policy frameworks related to special educational needs.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to integrate SEND support into the school’s overall strategy.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and support across the school community.
  • Manage and review individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills.
  • The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.

Preferred

  • Experience of innovation and creativity in engaging learners.
  • A proven track record in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
  • Experience in middle leadership roles within education.
