Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs.
- Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Lead training and development sessions for staff on inclusive teaching practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal and policy frameworks related to special educational needs.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to integrate SEND support into the school’s overall strategy.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and support across the school community.
- Manage and review individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Experience in delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
- Strong organisational and motivational skills.
- The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
Preferred
- Experience of innovation and creativity in engaging learners.
- A proven track record in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
- Experience in middle leadership roles within education.
