The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join a dynamic team at a school that values innovation and student development. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in producing high-quality art and design work
- Maintain and manage art equipment, materials, and resources
- Assist in preparing and setting up art classrooms and workshops
- Collaborate with art teachers to deliver engaging and creative learning experiences
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff
- Provide first aid support as required within the school
- Contribute to the development of the school's art curriculum and extra-curricular activities
- Support the school's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong interest and knowledge in art and design
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in a school or educational setting
Preferred
- Previous experience as an Art Technician or in a similar role
- Experience with a range of art media and techniques
- Experience working with young people
- Familiarity with digital art tools and software
- Experience in curriculum development or teaching support
