The Opportunity:

As the ASD Provision Lead, you will play a vital role in leading and developing a dedicated autism support provision within a mainstream secondary setting. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of students with autism and communication difficulties, helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the ASD provision to ensure it remains a Centre of Excellence
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the specialist autism support provision
  • Coordinate and deliver the curriculum for students with autism
  • Set individual learning targets based on Education Health and Care Plans
  • Deliver social language and communication support groups
  • Support the development of language and communication skills across the school
  • Work closely with families and other professionals to support student needs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified in SEN, Child Development, or Psychology
  • Proven experience working with students with autism
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusion and student welfare
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or developing autism support provision
  • Experience in curriculum development for students with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of education health and care planning
