Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students
- Progress the Maths department to achieve greater success and continue its development
- Encourage students to set high expectations for themselves and their behaviour
- Support students in achieving success at GCSE level (A-Level experience is desirable)
- Act as a positive role model and mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
- Promote a culture of high achievement and continuous improvement in the department
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes
- Participate in a bespoke CPD programme to develop professional expertise
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Maths
- Experience in teaching Maths at secondary level
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience of teaching at GCSE and A-Level
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology
- Strong communication and organisational skills
