Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students
  • Progress the Maths department to achieve greater success and continue its development
  • Encourage students to set high expectations for themselves and their behaviour
  • Support students in achieving success at GCSE level (A-Level experience is desirable)
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
  • Promote a culture of high achievement and continuous improvement in the department
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes
  • Participate in a bespoke CPD programme to develop professional expertise

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Maths
  • Experience in teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching at GCSE and A-Level
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technology
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
