The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students
  • Develop and implement well-structured learning programmes to support student progress
  • Encourage students to maintain high expectations of their own behaviour and academic performance
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level science qualifications
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor to students, contributing to their personal development
  • Collaborate with the Science department to enhance departmental success and outcomes
  • Follow a clear and structured behaviour system to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science
  • Experience in teaching Science at secondary level
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level Science
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies
  • Experience in working within an academy or multi-academy trust
  • Experience in curriculum development
