The Opportunity:

As Assistant Director of Studies - Summer School, you will lead a team of teachers and deliver an innovative academic programme for international students aged 11-16. You will support EFL Teachers and subject teachers in designing and delivering engaging lessons, with a focus on STEM, Arts, Business, and Humanities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of teachers to ensure the delivery of a high-quality academic programme.
  • Support EFL and subject teachers in the development and implementation of learner-centred lessons using CLIL and Project-based methodology.
  • Oversee the academic administration to maintain high standards across all aspects of the Summer School.
  • Contribute to a professional development programme to enhance teaching and leadership skills.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of students.
  • Coordinate with other departments to plan and deliver a range of academic and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and school activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EFL teaching methodologies and curriculum design.
  • Experience in managing and supporting a team of teachers.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in a 24/7 environment.
  • Commitment to the welfare and development of students.

Preferred

  • Experience with CLIL and Project-based learning approaches.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and practices.
  • Experience working with students aged 11-16.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a summer school or similar educational programme.
