Science Teacher - Summer School role available for part-time residential teaching from July to August 2026.

The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Science Teacher - Summer School, delivering engaging science lessons to international students aged 14-16. This role supports the school’s mission of integrating academic learning with language development, providing a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons tailored to students aged 14-16.
  • Collaborate with EFL teachers to support language development within science classes.
  • Use a variety of teaching resources and techniques to create engaging, learner-centred lessons.
  • Ensure all academic administration tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Participate in school activities and events to enhance the student experience.
  • Provide feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work flexible hours, including planning and teaching sessions three hours per day, four days a week.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or experience in science education.
  • Experience teaching science to students aged 14-16.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with EFL teachers.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission of academic excellence and holistic development.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a foreign language.
  • Familiarity with international education systems.
  • Experience in a residential school or summer school setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and resources.
