The Opportunity:
As Deputy Headteacher, you will work closely with the Headteacher to sustain academic excellence and drive strategic development across the school. This is a pivotal role in a high-achieving institution that values innovation, tradition, and holistic education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Headteacher in the overall management and leadership of the school.
- Oversee and contribute to the development of the school’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
- Monitor and evaluate academic performance, ensuring continued improvement and high standards.
- Lead and manage key departments, providing guidance and support to staff.
- Represent the school at external events, meetings, and partnerships.
- Develop and implement policies that align with the school’s mission and values.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student well-being and staff engagement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s educational program.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
- Strong track record in academic leadership and school improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of educational policy and best practices.
Preferred
- Experience in a large, selective school or academy setting.
- Leadership experience in a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
- Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes and standards.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
