The Opportunity:

As Deputy Headteacher, you will work closely with the Headteacher to sustain academic excellence and drive strategic development across the school. This is a pivotal role in a high-achieving institution that values innovation, tradition, and holistic education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in the overall management and leadership of the school.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of the school’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic performance, ensuring continued improvement and high standards.
  • Lead and manage key departments, providing guidance and support to staff.
  • Represent the school at external events, meetings, and partnerships.
  • Develop and implement policies that align with the school’s mission and values.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student well-being and staff engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s educational program.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong track record in academic leadership and school improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational policy and best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in a large, selective school or academy setting.
  • Leadership experience in a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes and standards.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
