The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Head Teacher Secondary, you will lead and inspire a team of educators, driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning. You will play a key role in shaping the academic experience of students and managing the Minerva Academic Enrichment programme, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage teaching and learning in the Secondary department
  • Develop and implement consistent classroom practices across all subjects
  • Oversee and enhance the Minerva Academic Enrichment programme
  • Support teachers in improving pedagogy and student outcomes
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and the international learning community
  • Promote a culture of continuous professional development
  • Ensure alignment with the school’s vision, values, and curriculum standards
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a secondary school setting
  • Strong understanding of best practices in teaching and learning
  • Experience in managing academic enrichment and gifted student programmes
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant teaching qualification and experience

Preferred

  • Experience with Continuous Provision and enquiry-based learning
  • Background in international education or British curriculum schools
  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies
  • Fluency in multiple languages
