The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher (Physics Specialism) to join our successful Secondary Science team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and educate students in a dynamic, well-resourced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of young minds through innovative teaching and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students in line with the National Curriculum of England.
  • Create engaging and stimulating learning environments that promote curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support and feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Participate in school improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of the Science department.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE, iGCSE, and A-Level examinations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education with Physics specialism or equivalent.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or internationally recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Physics at A-level or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as iGCSE or A-Level.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools such as GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests.
  • Experience in a multicultural and international school environment.
  • Proficiency in Arabic language or UAE Social Studies is a plus.
