The Opportunity:

As an EAL Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school's approach to supporting multilingual learners. This position offers the chance to lead and develop targeted EAL strategies, deliver impactful professional development, and support students in achieving academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive EAL framework aligned with the school's strategic goals.
• Identify, assess, and track the progress of multilingual learners using appropriate assessment tools.
• Deliver targeted EAL support through both push-in and pull-out models.
• Support classroom teachers in adapting curriculum content and promoting inclusive teaching practices.
• Provide professional development on effective EAL pedagogy and language acquisition.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of EAL interventions, adjusting provision as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in line with school and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Inclusion team, SLT, and Phase Leaders to ensure cohesive support for students and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience teaching within a British curriculum school.
• Strong background in working with multilingual learners and EAL pedagogy.
• Proven experience in leading interventions or coordinating educational provision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in delivering CPD to colleagues.

Preferred

• Experience using standardised assessment tools for language proficiency.
• Background in international school settings.
