The Opportunity:

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Principal to join us on our journey of rapid improvement. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and to grow professionally within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage specific areas of school operations, including curriculum, pastoral care, or staff development.
  • Support the Principal in driving school improvement and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise student achievement and engagement.
  • Manage and develop a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of school policies and initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the academy and United Learning Trust.
  • Ensure the school maintains its high standards and continues to improve.
  • Represent the school in meetings and events, both internally and externally.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within education, ideally as an Assistant Principal or equivalent.
  • Strong track record in school improvement and raising student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or pastoral care.
  • Experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience of leading professional development initiatives.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and practices in England.
  • Experience of working with Ofsted and external inspections.
