The Opportunity:
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Principal to join us on our journey of rapid improvement. This role offers the chance to make a real impact on student outcomes and to grow professionally within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage specific areas of school operations, including curriculum, pastoral care, or staff development.
- Support the Principal in driving school improvement and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise student achievement and engagement.
- Manage and develop a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of school policies and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the academy and United Learning Trust.
- Ensure the school maintains its high standards and continues to improve.
- Represent the school in meetings and events, both internally and externally.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within education, ideally as an Assistant Principal or equivalent.
- Strong track record in school improvement and raising student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Experience of working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum leadership or pastoral care.
- Experience of working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience of leading professional development initiatives.
- Knowledge of educational policies and practices in England.
- Experience of working with Ofsted and external inspections.
