The Opportunity:

As a Regional Director Secondary, you will lead and support a network of secondary academies in South Yorkshire, driving improvement in key areas such as standards, teaching, and behaviour. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who shares the school’s vision for educational excellence and is committed to raising achievement for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support the Principals/Executive Principals of four secondary academies in South Yorkshire.
  • Lead and drive a key function across all secondary academies, such as Standards and Achievement or Teaching and Learning.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of the school’s knowledge-rich curriculum and traditional teaching approach.
  • Work closely with national subject leads and central support teams to deliver high-quality educational outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations, discipline, and academic excellence across all academies.
  • Support the development of staff and students, ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to succeed.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance, providing strategic leadership and guidance to improve outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Principal or Executive Principal with a strong track record in educational leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and improve standards in secondary education.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and implementation.
  • Experience in managing and supporting school leadership teams.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of high expectations, inclusivity, and academic excellence.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teach Like A Champion methodologies or similar educational frameworks.
  • Background in behaviour management and creating a disciplined and joyful learning environment.
  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives or large-scale educational projects.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders across the education sector.
