Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across key areas of the school.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to implement strategic priorities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee pastoral care and student welfare, ensuring a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic performance, providing targeted support to staff and students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum.
  • Represent the school at internal and external events, contributing to its strong reputation and community engagement.
  • Support the professional development of staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Ensure that all school policies and procedures are followed, maintaining high standards of behavior and conduct.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to the school’s values and ethos, including a focus on student achievement and well-being.
  • Experience in curriculum development and strategic planning.

Preferred

  • Experience in school improvement or transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.
  • Experience in managing large teams and leading complex initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school inspection processes.
  • Experience in leading or supporting professional development programs.
