Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Economics lessons to students across key stages.
  • Develop and implement a stimulating and challenging curriculum aligned with national standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations and developing critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in whole-school initiatives, professional development, and staff training.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that support student development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Economics or Business Studies.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain positive student behavior.
  • Experience in developing and assessing student progress in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 4 and 5.
  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional coaching.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and best practices in education.
  • Commitment to professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Experience in delivering extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
