Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a diverse range of student abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Support student well-being and behaviour, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in professional development and coaching opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to teach across key stages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values, ethos, and vision.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities when required.

Preferred

  • Experience with delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience with instructional coaching or professional development programmes.
  • Experience with supporting student well-being and behaviour management.
