Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement high-quality maths teaching strategies across the school.
• Provide expert guidance and support to maths teachers and support staff.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maths teaching and learning across all key stages.
• Lead curriculum development and ensure alignment with national standards and the school’s educational vision.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the school’s academic strategy and priorities.
• Deliver professional development sessions and coaching for maths staff.
• Promote a culture of innovation and excellence in maths education.
• Work closely with external partners and stakeholders to enhance maths provision.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a strong background in maths education.
• Proven experience in a leadership or senior teaching role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a department or team effectively.
• Strong knowledge of maths curriculum and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a track record of engaging in it.

Preferred

• Experience in instructional coaching or leading CPD initiatives.
• Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement frameworks.
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs for teachers.
• Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies in maths education.
