Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of whole-school priorities and strategies.
  • Deliver impactful initiatives that enhance student achievement and staff performance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders to ensure consistent standards across the school.
  • Inspire and empower colleagues through effective leadership and professional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work with middle and senior leaders to maintain a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and long-term goals.
  • Support the Headteacher in managing the school’s leadership team and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Headteacher or in a similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive school improvement and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, student success, and academic excellence.
  • Experience in a secondary school setting, preferably in a high-performing institution.

Preferred

  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and school improvement frameworks.
  • Background in curriculum development and teacher training.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience in managing large teams and leading whole-school initiatives.
