The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join a dynamic leadership team and contribute to the continued success of a school recognized for its outstanding academic achievements and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage key areas such as Behaviour & Inclusion or Curriculum, supporting the school’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to drive continuous improvement and raise educational standards.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance student learning, engagement, and achievement.
  • Foster strong relationships with staff, students, and parents, promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Support the professional development of teaching and support staff, ensuring high-quality instruction and student support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of school policies and programs, making data-informed recommendations for improvement.
  • Represent the school in external meetings, partnerships, and collaborations, including with local primary schools.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education, with a track record of raising standards and driving improvement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with experience in this area.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading curriculum development or behaviour and inclusion initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes and a history of achieving high ratings.
  • Knowledge of best practices in school leadership and educational innovation.
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse and inclusive environment.
