Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the drama department, ensuring a high-quality and engaging curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver drama programs that support the academic and personal development of students.
  • Inspire and motivate students and staff through innovative teaching and leadership.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate drama into the wider school curriculum.
  • Support the school's commitment to inclusivity and student well-being through drama activities.
  • Represent the department at school events and external partnerships.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in drama education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading a drama department in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of drama education and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative drama programs.
  • Experience working in a school with a strong academic and cultural profile.
  • Familiarity with the Gold Club and similar high-achieving institutions.
  • Experience in leading professional development for staff.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
