Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Business Studies department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and deliver innovative and engaging Business Studies curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and intervention where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to share best practices and support whole-school improvement.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential and pursue higher education and career opportunities.
- Work closely with the leadership team to contribute to the strategic development of the school.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing training of staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Business Studies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a department effectively.
- Strong subject knowledge and experience in teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience of working in a high-achieving school or college.
- Experience with sixth-form teaching and/or A-level Business Studies.
- Leadership experience, including mentoring and coaching of staff.
