The Opportunity:

As a Premises Assistant, you will ensure the academy remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your role is essential in maintaining the quality of the school's facilities and supporting the smooth operation of premises-related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors and external service providers to ensure timely and effective maintenance.
  • Support health and safety protocols across the academy, ensuring compliance and a secure environment.
  • Oversee cleaning schedules and ensure all areas of the school are kept to a high standard.
  • Assist with the management of lettings and events, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to policies.
  • Work closely with security teams to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of premises, identifying and escalating any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Support the school’s operational goals by ensuring that all premises-related functions are carried out efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in premises management or a related field.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
