The Opportunity:
As a Premises Assistant, you will ensure the academy remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your role is essential in maintaining the quality of the school's facilities and supporting the smooth operation of premises-related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and external service providers to ensure timely and effective maintenance.
- Support health and safety protocols across the academy, ensuring compliance and a secure environment.
- Oversee cleaning schedules and ensure all areas of the school are kept to a high standard.
- Assist with the management of lettings and events, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to policies.
- Work closely with security teams to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
- Monitor and report on the condition of premises, identifying and escalating any maintenance issues promptly.
- Support the school’s operational goals by ensuring that all premises-related functions are carried out efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in premises management or a related field.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with facility management software or systems.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when necessary.
