The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school and supporting the Headteacher in delivering a high-quality educational experience. This is a leadership role that offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students and staff within a progressive and supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Headteacher in embedding the school’s vision and strategic direction
• Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects and phases
• Deliver a structured and coherent curriculum tailored to the needs of all students
• Champion inclusion and ensure access to learning for students with special educational needs and disabilities
• Oversee systems and policies to ensure safe, efficient school operations
• Manage staff performance and drive professional development across the school
• Collaborate with the governing board and external partners to ensure accountability and compliance

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• UK QTS or equivalent, with a relevant degree
• Strong understanding of SEN, including ASC, learning difficulties, and complex needs
• Full UK driving licence

Preferred

• Experience in senior leadership roles within education
• Experience with pastoral care and safeguarding
• Experience in managing and developing teaching teams
